Accounting Associate
Franklin, TN
The Accounting Associate will play a key role in helping get a variety of tasks accomplished. The ideal candidate will bring a diverse skillset and the ability to learn new tasks. This position will be responsible for various tasks so multitasking while paying attention to detail will be critical. The Accounting Associate will interact with a variety of people internally and possibly externally, so communications will be important as well. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and will play a key role in all areas of the accounting function as well as support for all areas.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities (Other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Audit and enter incoming A/P invoices for processing
- Process expense reports for accuracy and payment
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of certain products or accounts
- Assist with processing monthly customer rebates
- Assist in Inventory tracking and counts
- Make journal entries as part of month-end close
- Update excel files in all areas of responsibility
- Receive mail and remote deposit physical checks
- Order office supplies and other items as necessary
- Update customer information in our CRM as necessary
- Assist in office preparations for meetings, events, etc.
- Assist in organization for tradeshow activities and registrations, etc.
- Serve as a backup for shipping as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus

- Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively interact with and relate to internal and external audiences of all levels
- Must be flexible with a “can do” attitude and have remain professional under high pressure situations
- Ability to solve problems using data from multiple sources
- Able to retain and protect confidential material
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Interaction with SalesForce is a plus
